S2 RRK vs just 1488-T5 Shadow 2 Disconnector
« on: July 29, 2018, 04:32:37 PM »
Apologies if this has been answered and i didn't find it. Can I/we get clarification on the difference between installing these two kits/parts in a factory S2 setup (although mine has some replacement springs, etc.)
Will the RRK affect the pretravel of both DA and SA?  And the T5 ...
Thanks, love the CGW stuff.

The complete kit (new trigger and disco) will affect pretravel in DA because of the shorter reach and pre travel screw on the trigger, and reduce pre travel in SA because of the thicker portion of the disconnect.  Just replacing the disconnect with the new S2 disco will do the SA reset part, but there will be a little more slack in the DA before it engages in DA because the stock trigger doesn't have the pretravel screw.
