Getting frame refinished. Springs and things I should replace.
« on: October 01, 2018, 11:05:11 PM »
I have a 92 pre-b that i am going to get the frame refinished on after an incident with a sonic cleaner. I have replaced the extractor spring and recoil spring but when they have it apart for painting is there anything else I should replace. I know I should probably get a new mainspring. Is there anything else I should replace? The magazine release spring seems kind of weak. Isn't there also a slidestop spring? I want to make a list of things to order from cz so i can get them ordered before i have the work done.

Inspect everything for wear and replace as needed.Since you are detail stripping the frame anyway I'd just replace all the springs while it's down.

I'll second the suggestion to go ahead and replace all of the springs. Don't forget to re-stake the screw retaining the mag catch/trigger bar springs.
