Off The Shelf Ammo For TSO 9MM
« on: August 07, 2018, 06:26:30 PM »
I am going to purchase a TSO in 9 mm and I'm doing a little research. I would like some recommendations on what off the shelf ammo the TSO likes to eat.
I heard a couple of people recommend the S&B 124 FMj for the range?. thanks in advance for your opinion's. James.

It should be reliable enough to eat most anything (seen guys shoot aluminum-cased stuff through it at the range), but what are you looking for....less recoil, etc?

Just a reasonably priced ammo for the range. less recoil is always good as well.

My CZ's (P09, CZ75 Compact, etc.) really "like" the Federal 115 grain FMJ in brass cases.  I've been buying it at Walmart for just under $18 per 100 rounds.  It is 100% reliable and accurate (so far).  The aluminum case stuff is slightly cheaper, but I reload, too, so I when I buy, I buy brass cased ammo.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

There have been a few reports in here of the Federal aluminum case case stuff causing CZ's to have failures to eject and/or feed, my ShadowLine being one of them.  It seems the case rims are out of spec.

Brass case Federal will be good.  Federal American Eagle lines will be good.

For a good buy on excellent quality bulk re-manufactured ammo, see Atlanta Arms. These people supply ammo to the AMU and other championship teams.

A "case" equals 1000 rounds. They sell 100, 115, 124 and 147gr ammo.

On my newly acquired TSO 9mm, I used leftover Blazer brass FMJ 124g (and reloads spec'd for a CZ SP-01) and it shot exceptionally well with no issues. The TSO is one badass gun!

My TSO has worked flawlessly with everything I have tried in it so far. Granted, I haven't tried that many brands, but so far it has handled all of them without a single problem.

I don't shoot anything but brass cased ammo, no steel, no aluminum, no reloads. I don't buy the cheapest, but then I don't splurge and buy the most expensive either. The majority of my shooting so far has been mostly just target shooting or plinking.....no competition.

The brands I've tried so far have been Winchester NATO 124 Gr, S&B 115 and 124 Gr,  Winchester White Box 115 Gr, and Federal American Eagle 115 and 124 Gr.  The TSO handled them all perfectly and from what I've seen shows no particular preference for any one brand.  It shoots them all.

Ordered 1000 rds of this. Shoots good, great price, all of my CZ's eat everything, 75B, TSO. or Pro Tek 1. The only thing they don't like is some 147 Grain loads, but 115 up to 147 no problems.

Brownell's has 1000 rounds of Fiocchi 115 gr fmj for $175 shipped right now. Use code NCS.

Interesting fact: Fiocchi ammo is made in Italy, and they have been in the ammo manufacturing business since 1876.
