Aimpoint PRO
« on: August 08, 2018, 11:18:49 PM »
Has anyone here used the Aimpoint Pro on the Evo? Interested to hear if it is not to high for a good cheek weld with the SB Tevo. Thanks

My PRO is fine without the spacer. You can buy a better mount that sits lower than the QRP mount. I don't really care for the QRP mount.

My point was if you take out the spacer of the stock setup and still use the QRP mount, the PRO will sit at a decent height. It'll be the height to co-witness with AR style iron sights. That's still too high for some people is why I mentioned you could totally replace the mount with an aftermarket low mount to bring the PRO down farther.

I finally was able to work on the pistol and mounted the Aimpoint.  Problem is I can 't seem to get how to attach pics here.  It looks ok in my opinion, cheek rest to dot is just right.  I'll be glad to attach a pic as soon as I find out how :)

I had it mounted and it was high.  I use a T1 with the low mount now.

if you haven't gotten the optic yet, you should really look into the Trijicon MRO.

I have both and think the MRO is a superior optic.  That is what I have on my Scorpion and it is perfect IMHO!

Trijicon MRO is no doubt nice but not within my budget.  I settled with a Sig Romeo 5 instead, now have to decide if I will sell the Aimpoint PRO or keep it.  Thanks

I sold an Aimpoint PRO years ago and regretted it so much I just bought another one last year.

If the Sig is your only optic, I wouldn't rely on it 100%.

Man that made it more harder for me to decide, but you have a point.  I guess I'll just keep it for a future project...maybe pistol AR?  Tnx

Glock19er

Nice set--up man! What fwd grip is that and do you like it over a Magpul AFG if you've used one?

ad5md, That forward grip is a Nightstrike Viper. It actually replaced a Magpul AFG2. To me it's just a more natural feel when you hold it.
I got it off of ebay new for around $22.00 so it's a little cheaper as well.
