Bren 2 magazines

Hopefully someone with first hand knowledge (gun in hand) will be able to clear this up for me.  I spoke with Bill Hick and CZ today and got different answers.  Does the Bren 2 in 5.56 use AR magazines?  I was told by one source that the 5.56 had proprietary magazines and the other source said AR magazines are used.  Photos that I've seen show only an AK style magazine and I haven't seen any AR magazines pictured when referencing a Bren 2.  So... anyone have the photographic "proof"?

The 556 variant uses this sleeve. That is what makes the lower STANAG compliant.

That's why I want to call the new CZ 762x39 magazines STANAG+ to indicate it is a fatter version.

Thanks for the explanation and pictures.  Now it make complete sense regarding the ability to caliber convert between 7.62 and 5.56.

   I remember seeing that particular video and completely missed that detail.  Guess I was too engrossed on "Bren 2".
