Got a PCR...
« on: October 20, 2018, 02:43:37 PM »
To go with my recently acquired P07.  Picked it up yesterday, hoping to get it to the range today or tomorrow.  PO said he put 320 rounds through it then stuck it in the safe, and I believe it, this thing looks and feels like new.  Trigger is good, not as light or smooth as the P07, but not nearly as many rounds through it yet, so I expect that to improve.  Hoping the beavertail doesn't chew on me the way the Compact I tried did.  Already ordered some rubber mag bases, that thin metal lip is a blister waiting to happen.  Interesting to note that it feels heavier than the P07, but the scale says not really, there's an 1/8 oz. difference.  Size, as expected, is virtually identical, although the P07 looks a lot chunkier.  Or to put it another way, utilitarian tactical vs. James Bond sexy  ;).  More later, after I get to shoot it.

You got a winner there!  Enjoy it to the max.
If you find yourself in a fair gunfight, your tactics stink!

Congratulations.  I carry the P-07 (.40) normally as my go-to, but as my PCR is a bit smaller, I sometimes will carry that around the house, when working in the yard, etc.  Both are good shooters.

I've got a PCR in the safe but it pretty much lives there now. Not that it's a bad gun bun since I've converted my P-07 and P-09 to cocked and locked, all of my carries are carried that way. Never did like DA so now I've done away with it in my carry line up.
