Got a couple IWB kydex mag pouches early in the year. One for the CZ75 Compact/P01 magazines and one for the P07 .40 S&W magazines.
Anyway, I wear them every day. Every day. In the last few months I've lost 50 lbs. My spare tire is still there, but smaller.
What does that have to do with mag. pouches? The mag for the P07 is a P09 mag. with a +2 on the bottom, so it's pretty tall. The mag for the P01 is a 16 round magazine.
I think, maybe, before they just kind of pushed into the spare tire and were pretty well hidden. Never gave it much thought. Lately I can really feel them with my left arm/elbow. And they not only stick out they seemed to angle outwards at the top. Easy to see something is there and that ruins concealed carry.
It hit me yesterday that I could get the heat gun out and modify the magazine. I pulled the rounds out, heated up the kydex and pushed the magazine all the way down into/through the bottom of the pouches. Once I had them like I wanted them, I heated them again and used a screw driver to make a slight dent in the side right where the mag. catch slot is located, to help hold them in the pouch just a bit better.
Now they hide the mags. really well. They are deep and don't stick up above the belt nearly as much.
