NO doubt 6.5 out performs .308. Availability and cost per round means I?d still like a Bren 2 br in .308.
6.5 Creedmoor is same price as 6.5 Grendel, and 6.5 C is a much more capable round.
If you reload .308, 6.5 Creedmoor is overall cheaper w/ brass last 2x as long, and cheaper on power and bullets than .308 as well since less material for each; so even if buying manufactured rounds to start at 50% more than low end brass .308 W (factory target/precision loadings for 6.5 C and .308 W are roughly the same price per round).
And I thought I covered the cost and availability aspect for the US commercial market previously -- but for military offerings, I'd really like to see CZ offer in 6.5 C.
Yes, I'd expect them to offer commercially in .308, but the future is in 6.5 creedmoor.
