NO doubt 6.5 out performs .308. Availability and cost per round means I?d still like a Bren 2 br in .308.

NO doubt 6.5 out performs .308. Availability and cost per round means I?d still like a Bren 2 br in .308.

6.5 Creedmoor is same price as 6.5 Grendel, and 6.5 C is a much more capable round.

If you reload .308, 6.5 Creedmoor is overall cheaper w/ brass last 2x as long, and cheaper on power and bullets than .308 as well since less material for each; so even if buying manufactured rounds to start at 50% more than low end brass .308 W (factory target/precision loadings for 6.5 C and .308 W are roughly the same price per round).

And I thought I covered the cost and availability aspect for the US commercial market previously -- but for military offerings, I'd really like to see CZ offer in 6.5 C.
Yes, I'd expect them to offer commercially in .308, but the future is in 6.5 creedmoor.

I heard 6.5C burns out barrels faster, is that true?

Not to start a caliber controversy but I vote for 7.62 x 51 for the following reason:

I'm invested.
Certainly, I hope CZ will give us all the choices we desire...

Nice collection!

Barn owl, I wouldn't mind if my BR came packaged in a BTR60 as well. ;)

The more I look at the Bren 2, the more interested I am in the 308 version. I like my Bren S1 and don't see myself trading for the Bren 2 5.56 at this time. If the 308 is light enough I think it would pair well with my S1.
