P-09 Magazines
« on: December 06, 2018, 06:08:22 PM »
Greetings from Sunny Australia, I am asking after seeing on U Tube a couple of post's about people using Sig P226 magazines in there P-07's I was wondering if anyone had a tried to use similar Magazines in the P-09 platform ? The reason I ask is that we have draconian laws here with restriction's (10 Rds) and interpretations on capacity(based on markings and blocker construction)...and this has a spin off to availability in country..  Sig P226 Mag's are readily available atmo...

Trick will be finding mags long enough for the p09.

Yeah, P07 magazines won't lock up (too short) in a P09 frame.  I suppose someone makes extended magazines for the SIG pistols so those might be long enough to work.

One of the members here, couple years ago I think, shortened the frame on his P09 to P07 dimensions.  You could search for the thread to see some pictures and description of how he did that.  A P09 with a P07 length magazine well might also do the trick for you.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

Thanks guys for your replies... Unfortunately I don't wish to cut and tuck my P-09 frame's (as I intend using them for IPSC PDOL Division )I was enquiring if there were any other Mag's that might be as long as the standard P-09 mags..
