LGS has a Shadow Orange Custom Shop (91764)
« on: December 20, 2018, 09:04:20 PM »
So I am aware of the amazingness of this pistol. The fact is that due to the expenses of the holiday season, I would likely have to make a trade to make this happen...and that trade would most likely be either a Dan Wesson Guardian and something else (509 Tac comes to mind), or kill the whole thing with a little room to spare and trade my Wilson Combat EDC X9.

I like everything I am contemplating trading. This would be my 4th CZ in the safe, and my second SP-01 variant that I have owned (none presently). I won?t carry the Orange much as I did the X9, or the Guardian for that matter....but I have plenty of carry pieces so that really isn?t the issue.

I guess the question is...if there is someone out there who has some experience with the Shadow Orange AND the Wilson (more specifically)...is the juice worth the squeeze? Trading out of my Wilson would be trading out of my most prestigious name in the safe perhaps...but one could argue the CZ may run even or ahead of it from a $ value perspective...so I am interested to hear what folks have to say.

I've had a Shadow Orange Custom (91764) since September and consider it the finest handgun that I own.  Unfortunately, I don't have any experience with the WC EDC X9.

If you are looking for a competition-ready pistol straight out of the box, the Shadow Orange Custom is a great choice.

I have a Shadow 2, which I understand is comparable to the Shadow Orange (not Custom Shop).  I love it.
I WILL own a WC EDC X9 some day.
If I could trade my Shadow 2 and $1,000 for a WC EDC X9 today, I would without a second thought.

Does the shop have layaway?
