CZ All American Sporting vs Combo
« on: January 11, 2019, 09:09:36 AM »
I'm awaiting (anxiously!) my CZ All American Sporting to arrive.  I did a lot of research and this gun pushed all the buttons I needed pushed.

... but I'm curious about one thing.

Why does the Sporting utilize Mobil chokes, but the Combo utilizes RemChokes?  I don't understand why CZ (Huglu, actually) would use different chokes on basically the same firearm in two similar forms.

So (Curiously?) I think I found the answer.  It appears that the Sporting variant is a Huglu sourced firearm, but the Trap Combo is from Akkar.  That leads to even more questions as to why these "firearm brothers" come from different mothers???

Now that I own the firearm I can report a few things I had wrong above.

1) Both models are sourced from AKKAR.  Huglu is not involved at all in the All-American.  It is a CZ spec version of the Churchill O/U from Akkar.

2) Both models use REMChoke style chokes.  Even though the website suggests the choke style is different, they are not.  Any REMChoke thread choke will work.

3) The gun simply ROCKS.  Once you get it fit, it swings easily, has great balance (at least the 32" model) and pattern was 50:50.
