recoil spring question
« on: February 22, 2019, 05:54:19 AM »
I have done many CGW mods on my CZ's , have always used the 14 lb recoil spring. Ejection distance on my 94 pre b was a bit short so I installed a 13 lb recoil spring. I found the 13 to be about 1/3 inch longer than the 14 and it had a tendency to kink when installing. It functioned with no problem,  a bit longer ejection than the 14   BUT my bullet  point of impact was 2" higher with the 13 vs the 14. Strange indeed, will reinstall the 14 and see what happens but wont get to range til next week and I'm curious about this .  The longer length of the 13 , is that normal for that spring ?

Are you comparing the spring length of the 13lb to the used 14lb? springs will take a set after some use and will be shorter than they were when new and unused.
