Disappointed by CGW.

I've been holding off on this review for a few weeks, hoping they would be able to sort it out.   

I emailed them about a steel framed P01, they emailed me back the next day stating that they had one in stock. I called them on my lunch break to order it, nope.  Apparently, they held it for someone else instead.

They said that it would be easy to get another one, so I stayed calm and said okay. Just get me one.  Two weeks later and still nothing, radio silence.  I finally had to contact them, to which they replied, "they are hard to get and that we are unable to get any. Sorry if you were under the impression that we could order them or get one."

How is being told by an employee(Thomas) that getting one would be no problem, being "Under the impression". No, I was told point blank that getting one would be no issue. I also missed out on buying one here on the forums because they were able to get another "no problem".

I have many other CZs that I want to have work done on aswell, but I am finding it hard to justify giving them thousands of dollars worth of business. I'm generally a very easy going person, but this tries my patience as a consumer. Bad Juju. 

This is an evolving review and may change as time passes. For now, they have lost a customer and any recommendations they would have received.   

I suppose we will see how badly they want my business.

I'm surprised to hear this, given the heaps of praise they receive. I also was looking to order one of their steel P01's, so I'm disappointed to read of your experience. Guess I'll also wait to see what happens.

Cajun is an extremely reputable company for good reason. I've had numerous very positive experiences with them. Hey....stuff happens !!!! I vote you give them another call explaining your above post situation....I'm sure they will be more than willing to get it settled.....my .02

I have been unable to find one since.

My problem is that they assured me they would be able to get another and then tried to play it off as if I had come up with that idea, when infact it was something I was told by their employee.

Also, by assuring me that they could get one, I missed out on purchasing one that was available at the time. Had they of been forthright with me, I would have purchased it and sent it to them. No issues.

I did contact them and rather than trying to get it settled, they acted like I was not told they could get another one.

I read nothing but glowing reviews about them. I did not have the same experience and I felt others should hear it.

We would have been more than happy to process an order for the OP.  However, we can only process an order when the customer is ready to place the order and secure the item with a deposit. 

We have documentation where the OP emailed, here is our direct response straight from our email server which was sent at 7:27 am on the day in question:

We have one P-01 steel frame left as of yesterday.  We don't have anything in stainless unfortunately.  If you would like the P-01, give us a call ASAP.  We require 50% of the total package down and then build the gun up.  New guns are shipping in 4-5 weeks.  The price on the website is the gun with the pro-package.  There will be a $40 charge for insured shipping to your FFL.

The OP continued to send other emails about rushing the work, etc.  Customer did not call on this until several hours later, at which point the last P-01 steel frame had been sold.  None of our emails ever indicated "getting another one would not be a problem".


We are more than willing to forward the entire email chain where we responded to each and every request and urged the OP to contact us quickly on this limited item. 

We are more than willing to work with the OP, but the 99041 was a limited contract over run and is not a cataloged item on CZ-USA's website and never has been. 

I suggest the OP source one and we would be more than willing to supply the work or parts.
