reloading for my CZ527

Apparently there aren't enough projects around my house !
On a whim, i ordered some Geco brass cased cartridges with reloading in mind for my CZ527 (and my Chinese SKS to a lesser degree).
New to reloading (2 1/2 yrs) and only have worked with .223 and 9mm.
Wondering if anyone else here have reloaded for the CZ527 and what you have come up with, for pet loads.
lighter or heavier bullet?
favorite powders/primers?
what diameter bullets
dies?

will some of my .223 components work well with the 7.62x39?
(have a bunch of Rem 7 1/2 primers and an assortment of powders)
You know, the usual newb questions.

Yes, I'll be checking my manuals. just looking for your experiences and sage advice.

Hey painter, I have an older one also with the 1:12, I got it used from a buddy. I have a Leupold 2x7 scope on it, action screws are tight,scope good, etc and I have never had good luck with it @ 100yrds,2.5/3inch MOA at best! I have a solid rest good control, etc,I have used Hornady ammo also,52grn I think and not much improvement. Any thoughts or ideas? I have a bunch of Nosler 52 grn bullets and have played around but kinda gave up early Summer and have not got back to it, yet.

Not to highjack 86304's thread, but mine shoots everything from 40-62gr pretty good, even factory American Eagle 55gr. There's usually one flier, but I'm not convinced that's the rifle.

What are you using for powder?

I have tried Varget for the most part. That's the powder my buddy used with the most success, he owned the rifle from new. We are still good bud's but we don't get together as much as we use to,but I guess I need to track him down,LOL From my last range session with it I have some fire formed brass that I used a Lee Neck Collet die on then primed with Federal Match primers but kinda stopped there,there just sitting on the bench since about Springtime,

You said for the SKS too - is your 527 in 7.62x39mm or .223? i have been loading for the 7.62x39mm cartridge for a few years and for my own 7.62x39mm CZ 527M, most often with a home cast 129 grain NOE bullet, powder coated, over Accurate Arms #1680 powder.

OK cool. Most 7.62x39mm brass is large rifle primer, except Remington, in my limited experience. I ditched the Remington factory brass and stayed strictly with large primer stuff.
Accurate Arms 1680 has been touted as the best powder for 7.62x39mm. All I know is it has worked better for me than anything else I tried. Powders suitable for .223 are not a good fit for 7.62x39mm. Best factory bullets I've used are the Hornaday 123 gr spire point and the Hornaday 123 gr SST. Cast, I have used both Lees, the 160 gr and 155gr, and they worked fine, but the NOE 129 .314 mold produces a bullet that works great, powder coated.
Remember the bore is .310, so .310 and .311 is what you are looking for. .308 can work, but not nearly as well.
I am not at home so I don't have my load data right at hand. Hope that helps.

I use 25gr of H4198/123 SP/Privi brass/Fed LRP that relaxes deer quite nicely and cuts 1/2" or better at 100 yards benched.Using mag primer cut the group size in 1/2.Topped with a 4x Leupold.
