CZ Trigger Return Springs
« on: January 17, 2019, 09:23:22 PM »
Getting rid of my last CZ 75 BD 10+ years ago, I'm wondering if they have been improved; especially in the breakage of trigger return springs and the pita hasmmer cam; could be a nice gun.

Trigger Return Springs still break sometimes. In factory config the hammers still cam. It varies in severity from pistol to pistol.
Will work for CZ pics! (including but not limited to all CZ clones)

Curious what is new, besides the price (seems higher)?

To be honest, the trigger return spring is a weak point in just about any DA/SA pistol, For awhile, Beretta 92's were well known for breaking TRS's, the bright side was they are fairly easy to replace, the only special tool needed, to pull the upper leg of the spring back so you can install the trigger bar, is easily made from a paper clip..I've had exactly one TRS break on me while firing the pistol, and that was with a HK P-2000, and this after about 4-5000 rnds, and at least that many dry fires.. Myself, when I buy a new CZ, I always figure on replacing the stock TRS, and the trigger pin, with CGW parts, they're fairly inexpensive, and the removable trigger pin, along with a set of modified needlenose pliers that HK parts.net sells for replacing HK TRS's, makes changing a CZ TRS about a 5 minute job.

I just keep a few extra TRS's around, just in case, so far between 4 DA/SA CZ's I haven't needed them, yet.. As far as hammer camming, neither my P01 compact or my SP01 exhibit this trait, both are stock with the exception that I've replaced the hammer springs and trigger return springs, as well as the trigger pins in both..Things have changed a bit in CZland in 10 years, between CGW, and CZ Custom, any complaint you have with them can  be addressed.. Maybe it's time to take another look..
