Modifying 07/09/10 mags to fit the new -10s
« on: February 08, 2019, 06:25:50 PM »

Is anyone out there doing work to modify existing mags that fit the P10C to the new extra cuts P10C OR mags?  (the double slots instead of the single slots on the corner of the mag bodies)

I have a bunch of "old" mags that I'd like to have done rather than buying new magazines.

That's not quite the modification I'm looking for, but I did send them an email asking about it.

The new mags have double slots. Old mags won't work in new guns (or so I've read).

Example:

New mag on the left, old style on the right. (Both are new compared to the P07/09)

FWIW I emailed and received a reply from HBI. At this time they are not interested in modifying older mags to fit the newer guns.

Bummer

Take the older mags apart completely, get out your Dremel with a cutting wheel, measure twice cut once. Finish with a small file.

Pretty much what I'm thinking of doing, but then you haven't seen my "son's" pinewood derby car, either..  :o

I might just try to sell the mags and get new ones.

I bought p09 magazines a few months ago and they have the same cutout as the new p10 mag

That's what I did. Seemed like the simplest solution.
