I replaced the worn plastic grips on my Pre B CZ85 with a set of new/modern soft rubber grips.
The fit is better than on the OPs pistol and that tells me the CZ85 has the same frame dimensions as the CZ75 and has had for years.
But, I will say that (and it's easier on the soft rubber grips) the grip screw holes don't always line up with the frame and grip. One side may be easy and the other side not. Or both sides can be easy (replaced the plastic grips on a couple older Compacts with rubber grips, too).
On the ones that are difficult to line up (again, easier on the soft rubber grips) I can put the front in position first, then push forward hard to make the hole in the grip line up with the threaded hole in the frame.
On a grip made of a hard material there's only a couple options. Send it back and hope the next set lines up better. Or modify the hole in the grip to allow it to line up better with the threaded hole in the frame.
Good with it.
