Hiya toysthatgobang and thx for the thread. When I purchased my first handgun I found it very educational, sociable, and built some confidence to sign up at my local gun range for an introduction to handguns. Its quite affordable, the instructors have been certified, introduce different types of handguns, different types of ammo, loading and unloading procedures, and live fire exercises to demonstrate learning. The feedback really helps the initial habits to be safe. As its a class setting you get to meet folks that you will continue to see in the future either on the range or advance classes. Frankly, its the only school I ever looked forward to going to. Be well.
