Range session Sunday with the plastic striker P-10F (video)
« on: March 11, 2019, 03:43:02 PM »
I've been away from the range for a few weeks due to weather and work.  Finally made it early Sunday morning.

Decided to shoot the P-10F only, and at 25 yards, starting with some low cost Remington UMC until I sensed my trigger finger was functioning, then I switched over to Atlanta Arms 115 JHP for timed fire bullseye practice (25 yards, standing, single hand, five shots in 20 seconds, twice per target score.

I shot four targets with scores of 96 or better.  Here are the three best targets.  Rain and wind kept me from setting up a shooter cam.

Here is the takeaway for me.  The P-10F is a winner.  I was as consistent with the P-10F on Sunday as I have ever been with the 97B"E" or P-09, my other two bullseye match pistols.  I've also won a match with a P-07, but that was unusual.  I always expected to have high score with the full size guns, especially with the 97B"E", which I consider to be the absolutel best bullseye match gun that I could ever shoot.

It was a lot of fun shooting the hammer fired polymer guns in matches and doing well.  I never thought it would be possible to get a striker fired gun to match my needs trigger pull wise but it looks like that is exactly what has happened, and I am pleasantly surprised at how easy it has been to get the P-10F where I could shoot it well.

So, a game changing range visit for me.  I will shoot the P-10F in any bullseye matches I am able to attend this year.  I'll put the 97 to the side for a while.
