Steel shadow suggestions.
« on: March 12, 2019, 09:47:54 PM »
I'm wanting a single action shadow.  One felt too good in the hand not to want one.  All steel, single action, lightest and shortest reset trigger I can get.  Rail required.  I would really like a comp. without sacrificing reliability.  The checkmates reviews for reliability are not the best, but I have no experience.  Race gun meets nights stand gun is what I seek.  Tell me CZ gurus......what do I seek?

What you seek will have to be built. Reliable or not, the Checkmate has no rail. The lightest shortest trigger could also be had with a Tac Sport, but again no rail. A SAO SP-01 Shadow with an extended/threaded barrel is what you're looking for.

How light of a trigger if you want this as a nightstand pistol?

A TacSport has a wonderful trigger (for range use) but would be the last choice on the nightstand.

Thanks for the reply.   I would be fine with 1.5 pounds to about 2.5 lb trigger.   I know this goes against conventional thought.  After googling myself cross eyed for a few nights, I think Earl Keese summed it up for me. Have it built, that shadow 2 SP-01 with high nights sights, threaded barrel and a lighter trigger sounds perfect to me.  Reliability concerns me a little, but I bet the boys at CZ custom know how to send one out suppressor ready.

I truly appreciate all the input.   Now to tell the 'ol lady what it will cost. lolol

My suggestion is a shadow 2 lower with a czechmate or TS upper running the new comp from kneelingatlas over on the enos forums.

I'm sure you could have cz custom build it for ya and be 100%

This new comp looks amazing I'm considering buying a different upper just to run it on my open gun.
