Shadow 2 mag release and Comp Tac holster

Picked up some basic gear to start USPSA.  Practicing my draw, I notice the mag release is activated too often by the top, inside rear of the holster that covers it.  With the gun in the holster the mag release is touching the Kydex.  It seems like unless I draw perfectly straight the first half inch there is enough force to activate the mag release. Anyone have this issue with this or similar holster?  Is it acceptable to modify or remove this small area for clearance (USPSA rules)?  I could not find anything obvious.  Thanks.

I had the same problem before. It cost me valuable time since I can fire the first shot but the next round doesn?t get chambered because the mag release was activated. The mag didn?t drop fully but hangs out a little bit.

I dremeled the comptac holster where it covers the mag release pad to prevent it from happening. It?s not illegal to do so.

Did a USPSA into class / 2 stage shoot tonight at the range and no problem after trimming that small area off, which I was told is common problem.   Otherwise rig worked fine, no problems.  Thanks.
