My SP-01 Tac Updates
« on: March 12, 2019, 07:27:45 PM »
Just installed the "Old Style" combat trigger and reduced trigger spring, which along with the other CGW upgrades I've made, have brought the DA trigger weight down to 7 lbs. and SA is at 3-1/2 lbs. Less take up and a cleaner break as well. This trigger is feeling great now.

Other changes I made previous to this:

CGW 3-piece spring kit w/ #13 hammer spring( SPGK1)
Stainless guide rod (CZ Custom)
#14 lb Recoil Spring (CZ Custom)

Pretty minimal expense and a little time and this gun has been taken to a new level.

How does the new (to you) trigger feel compared to the recurve that came with the SP01 ??
Im thinking of changing the recurve on mine and was courious how the old style felt....

I prefer the more open curve of this trigger than the stock trigger. Totally a preference thing, but I find the stock trigger way more curved than it really needs to be.

The face of the black recurve trigger is also more curved. The old 85c trigger has a noticeably flatter face, i really prefer the feel of it.

Glad to hear that the SP-01 Tac is shaping up well Hammer Time.
Will work for CZ pics! (including but not limited to all CZ clones)

Agreed. I don't see doing much more to the SP-01 at this point - it's pretty much exactly where I want it.

Thanks! They are the Lok full checkered palm swell grips. I really like them - very grippy without being overly aggressive.

Those are nice ,  ive been eye balling them and thinking of getting a set for my SP01 Tac.  I think they'll look good with the Urban Grey , also thank you for posting your upgrades ive been thinking of doing pretty much the same thing you did and now with your confirmation on how well it went i think im gonna do it...
