just bought a new gun
« on: March 25, 2019, 04:49:48 PM »
I just purchased but have not received yet an EAA / Witness Limited Custom 9mm.
I have been eyeballing this gun for a while and watched it so long it changed its style on me while I was watching it.
I decided this morning I would wait no longer - I mean what am I waiting for? So I bought one. It will be here on Friday. I got 3 extra mags and 5 new base pads for it as well.

I am pretty fired up to run some rounds through it and test it out.

I am excited!

Hiya recoil guy and thanks for your thread, look forward to your pic on receipt. Is that going to be your first ported competition pistol? Will you be reloading for it?  Any cz slide/frame/ mag/ interchangeability ?   Any idea how much the tariffs/EAA ads to the new guns cost?  Enjoy.

Yeah I am looking forward to it as well.

The barrel is not actually ported although the the slide is ported to lighten it. It is my first gun like this. First one with a magwell.

I always reload so I surely be reloading for this gun. I reload for all my other competition guns in production and Carry optics. Probably have my pet load already in mind.

I doubt there is any interchangeability and even if there is I will not try it. this one is going to be pretty specific for a reason.
Tariffs are tariffs I cant say how or if they effect the price. I'm sure what ever it is, is insignificant to the overall cost. I'm not sure Italy is on the tariff list? The cost hasn't changed much in the past 2 years snce I started to want one until now when I bought it. Thank you for the well wishes I am pretty sure it will bring a big smile to my face!!!! I cant wait to hear the first bang!!!!!

I can't wait to try this gem out!!! It is a smooth action and an amazing dry fire trigger

Here it is on my desk waiting for 5:00 so I can hit the range

Brought a friend for it to go to the range so I can compare....my SP-01 (old reliable) and the Limited Custom (New kick Butt)

Nice!  8)  Looks like a Titanium Blue Cerakote finish is on it.  :)

Have toyed around with the idea of that or similar color for some of my other Gun Projects.

Very nice! I think your gonna like it.
I recently bought a stock 3. What a great shooter! The trigger is a little heavier in both DA and SA than my shadow 2, but that looks to be easily taken care of. It badly needs a F.O. front sight and will be ordering a Dawson soon. I wasn't even thinking about Tanfoglio when I bought it on a whim. Glad I did.

I switched mine to FO front before I even took it home.
This one is SA only and the SA is short and smooth.
I don't know the exact weight but right out of the box it is pretty impressive.

Thank you, it grows on me, I think I will get some new grips to bring it together for me a bit better.
I have enough just black guns now.

Thank you for the kind words....

I've thought about converting the stock 3 to SA.
