Slide issues
« on: April 21, 2019, 08:40:37 PM »
Loaded military spec mag, with Milsurp ammo. Gun shouldn't be able to tell if this is 1956, and I'm behind the iron curtain (right reference?) or 2019, and I'm up PineCrick, at the Upper Constitution mine.
Blammo!!!! x4 Cycles round number five, slide closes (almost).
Hammer back. Won't drop off the trigger.
Slide won't retract or go forward.
Drop the magazine, no change.
Hammer will drop off the safety, albeit with pressure against the hammer to keep forceful blows off the pin....
Pull on the little plunger guy (don't hate on the technical terms please) mid slide, right in front of the trigger guard. That allows the slide/barrel to go all the way forward, yet only back to the 1/4-3/8" back from "proper" it stays.
Pistol is still hot, can't move the slide enough to eject the round, or properly close it to the point it will fire/trigger will drop the hammer.
Did a search, nothing really screamed "THIS!!! THIS is my problem"..
Help?

Update. I have the slide off. Can see the brass. Arguing whether it's live, or spent, in my head. Either way, treating the gun like it's live. Slide off. Cock, hammer drops off the trigger, so that part functions... Reattach, there is definitely something jammed or wedged, or out of sorts in the action of the gun, as the slide just won't come back and eject the round/casing. Uploading pics to google, then will paste the album/video here.

Hiya SourMashII and thanks for the thread. And hope the Easter bunny was nicer to the kids than the gun was at the range. I don't try gunsmithing but have trouble shot a few stoppages in my years shooting. I hope its just a bad batch of Milsurp ammo. I used a wooden stick to gently tap out a few rounds that got stuck. Was the Milsurp new to its diet? A change from factory ammo? No chance any reloads in the batch?  Some close up pics will help the sofa smiths here out to help you after the holidays past. And can always drop a call to cz-usa and ask to speak to a smith, they can offer there suggestion for free as well. Hope the Mrs. is well aware of the issue, helps to close the deal on the need to shop for a newer than 1956 model. Be well.

The ?1956? was a guess, and drawing the picture. I like Relics, like me. lol.
If?n Ya tap the link above? It?ll take ya to the pics.
All I feed It is milsurp. Seems to be the most prevalent ammo, have yet to try more modern hollowpoints. Might have been a bad round. But that still doesn?t change the fact it?s jammed.
Therein lies the rub.

Was simply a bonafide good old fashioned organic jam. MilDurp round was .002? or whatever out of spec. Ol ?Tok just didn?t care for THAT one.
Gun?s been returned to its former moderately happy self.
