I'm hoping they have a light load and they get to it sooner.

On the BDM: I've only been using 124 gn bullets and mine has been 100% reliable. It's accurate and I don't have a problem with trigger bite. The trigger pull is smooth. There was a bit of grittiness, but I cured that by smoothing the edges of the firing pin stop. I wouldn't carry it without my mod that eliminates the complete disengagement of the trigger when the decocker lever is down. As much as I like this pistol, it won't see much use when the 97B is back!

M1: I guess I got lucky on my BDM. Not so much with my 97B, though I'm sure that CZ-USA get it in perfect working order. Like anything mechanical, every copy will vary in some way. David Baird, who frequented one of the 1911 forums, has a BDM with a rather poor trigger. I imagine that it could be smoothed out some. That is in part why I put together the detail strip guide. I should update the guide with the tip about smoothing the sides of the firing pin stop.

Was notified Thursday that my pistol is on it's way home! Should have it Monday. It's been a long 4-weeks!

The email said that the safety was replaced. Seems like more than just needed to be done to get it working correctly. No matter, so long as it works.
