We've got a couple CZ75 Compacts. I used to carry mine a lot, till I got that P01 Omega (black version). Nothing wrong with the CZ75 Compact, but I noticed (every time I pick it up) the feel of the Urban Gray P01 Omega in my hand. There was just something about it that felt different and better than the CZ75 Compact. I finally came to the conclusion that it was the grooves in the front and rear of the grip frame. I can feel them. And my hand tells my brain that it feels really good to hold on to.
I've worn through the finish on the CZ75 Compact, used some of the heavy duty cold bluing from Brownell's (can't remember the name of that stuff right now - get used to that as you get older) and worn through that again. I'm considering getting it refinished in the black nitride material/finish as that is supposed to be much more durable than the factory polycoat.
Does yours have the original bushing in it or did you install one of CGW's tighter barrel bushings when you replaced the sights?
My wife's CZ75 Compact doesn't need the bushing (that pistol was the first CZ75 Compact I ordered and I made the mistake of letting her shoot it - after that it was hers and I had to order a second one for myself). We had Primary Machine mill it for a DP Pro, install a taller front sight and refinish the slide. She's suddenly decided it's "too heavy". I tried to tell her that if she'd just carry it more she'd get used to the feel and not notice it any longer. Didn't work.
