Jamming (re-visited)
« on: May 23, 2019, 01:14:49 PM »
Yesterday I posted a need for help/advise (Jamming) Well I followed a lot of that advise, spent time yesterday doing a serious clean! I went to the range early this A.M. & ran 200 jam-free rounds through the CZ75, yesterday I was jamming up probably on average every 10 rounds, sometime I could run a mag. no problem the next mag it would jam up twice, not any particular pattern. Very frustrating given CZ's reputation. big relief today, I again want to Thank everyone for taking the time to post!!!

Hey, good to hear DocD. That Winchester ammo is notorious for being on the dirty side of filthy :-) There's a site called "ballistics 101" it shows energy and velocity for various factory ammos from a good number of manufacturers. In my opinion a better option ammo wise for a stock CZ would be something on higher end of the spectrum juice wise like S&B or Fiocchi standard pressure offerings. There's a big range of energy with 9mm ammo.
...out of curiosity did you run more Winchester White Box or something else today?

cousinmark, Thanks for the advice & that is what I plan to do. This A.M. I used the Winchester White Box, Reason being is that I am quite remote & getting to a gun/ammo store is a "Trip" all I had on the shelf was the White Box, (which I am happy to say that was the last of it). I was however very pleased as the gun performed flawlessly, as we all know once the confidence is gone so is the gun, in fact I am sure it will take a few more boxes for me to regain the confidence. Love the CZ, I have several of their rimfires  Thanks for the "Site" & taking the time!

Glad to hear that your 75 is performing as expected.  The black "cheese" builds up over time and it gets into places where regular light cleaning usually missed!
