Went to the range today with my newly nitrided PreB. Wow. I really enjoyed my P228 and new P229, but wow.... the preB rocked the house! The DA is sooooooo smooth and light in feel, and short i travel, and this is NOT my best PreB trigger. At ten yards, I could keep the rounds in the bullseye of one of those dirty bird targets. Sights are 'on' out to 15 yards. This gun has the little slot in the front sight, so I put some Glow paint in there and helps my old eyes to se the front sight. The gun just wants to stay on target and hit the bull.
I'm sure my SIGS are as mechanically accurate, but it was easier to chew the bull out with the PreB. This gun has a tad of play in the barrel at the muzzle unlike my other PreBs but it is VERY accurate.
I did have a stove pipe with Tula. I attribute it to ammo and break in after reinstallation of the extractor, etc.
The checkered LOK grips with full checkering really help you grip the gun well!
These guns were just plain made to shoot superbly. If CZ UB had half a brain they'd remake the classic and add decent "Omega" sights and a subdued beavertail, vertical slide serrations, NO unnecessary FPB, and comp hammer and make us all run out and buy two.
