Will a SP01 Tactical ambidextrous decocker fit in a 75BD?
« on: June 13, 2019, 09:04:08 PM »
I've been looking into buying a 75BD for a while but would like to have the SP01 style decockers without the hit on looks moving to the railed model brings.
I was told that installing SP01 ambidextrous decocking levers should be possible without modification to the firearm but have seen no confirmed completed cases, just old talk online. From looking at a disassembled SP01 Tactical online, and the right side of a BD, they look identical, and I was told the frame thickness is the same between the two.
Has anyone seen or tried this and could tell if it could work or not?

This goes for both the CZ 75 BD and CZ 97 BD models.

From what i have learned owning both models and addressing this question in the past it can and has worked but there are no guarantees. Some fitting may be required in some cases. The timing of the lever may or may not match perfectly. For clarity i am talking about the at rest decocking levers rotational position.

In my case it dropped into my 75BD and worked fine. In my 97 BD the lever timing was off. Do to the potential variance in two of the same model CZ from the factory i can not guarantee that everyone with every CZ will share the same outcome.

Will work for CZ pics! (including but not limited to all CZ clones)
