Blending the area where trigger guard meets frame

I'm looking into the 82 and 83.
I enjoy metalwork.

Has anyone thought of (or tried) to blend the metal area at the top of the trigger guard so that it mates up with the frame?

Every time I look at an 82 or 83 I stare and wonder why its like that.

I should just let it go huh.

Never thought about it like that. Doesn’t bother me. It’s the disassembly point for the pistol and a little slop might be helpful there? I dunno.

I'm gonna look for a really rough shape 83 so I can slow rust blue it after some metal work.

I debate about changing an artifact of history and think about potentially regretting it later but if I get one that is difficult to look at I don't think I'd end up with any regrets.

One of historys ugliest guns …...no one will care if youplay with it a little.
if you shoot the gun you never have to look at it from that angle anyway.....so shoot it more.
