I hate to say it, but...
« on: June 19, 2019, 10:03:10 PM »
I purchased a new Canik TP9SF Elite and it totally smokes my P-10C. The Elite trigger is simply phenomenal.
My days of hacking on Turkish pistols are over.

TP9's vary in quality as much as P10's do. Good ones, average ones, bad ones out there.

I will be honest. I have never been a fan of the P10C. Now the new US made models I have never tried, so can't speak for them. I did have a TP9SFX for a while. They are for sure a great value and seem to made well.

CZ should have shipped the OR P10's with plates like Canik does. Canik got/gets an awful lot right with the TP9 series. Percieved value fosters good will and customer loyalty.

That is the one area where Canik is getting ahead of other gun manufacturers and making a name for itself. It pays attention to the area that is the most important on how a pistol feels and shoots, the trigger! It's that simple. Please, continue to keep hacking on the Canik and other Turkish CZ-75 clones. ;)

Indeed. If the pistol has slide cuts for an optic, include the plates!!! Plate availability has been horrible with CZ. Canik even includes an optic with the TP9SFx.

My TP9SFx rig.

Shoot more and worry less.

I've fired or owned just about every 9mm out there, my Canik TP9SF Elite is superior to all of them.

Yeah me too and I wouldn't trade my PCR for 3 caniks and a case of bourbon. Good that you found something you like though. That's what it's all about.

For a time I thought my Springfield XDM 5.25 Match was the cat?s meow... and then I started shooting CZs.  Now the Springfield only goes out occasionally to remind me of what was.

The great part is that we CAN make these choices!

It's hard to knock Turkish guns....unless you haven't shot one or don't like a great value in a gun.

The Canik you own is a nice, how is the fit and finish the one I handled seemed loose and a tiny bit rattley.

Good looking gun as well. Glad you found something you really like.

Congratulations and may it serve you well!  8)  :)

I've had my original Canik TP9V1 for about four years now and it's a real favorite at the Range and for carry.
Accuracy and reliability has been absolutely stellar. Carried it this last Winter.

I also have a TriStar/Canik T-120, which is an aluminum framed Cz75 Clone of sorts, having design similarities to the SP01 and MRI/IMI/Tanfoglio Baby Eagle.
It's been a favorite of mine for IPSC Limited Class.  Accuracy and Reliability has been excellent.

Finish is Black Cerakote

The fit and finish on mine is great. I have one of the newer all black models.

I have an S120 and it seems well made. I've had it apart and took the firing pin block parts out. None of the parts look suspect. Lock up seems to have no measurable (at least not by any means I possess) play. Slide to frame has a noticeable clearance, but it's only perceptible unloaded and seems minute. It must be pretty accurate because I can hit milk jugs at 100 yds pretty regular lol.
