Double Thumbs Up!
A bit of history is in order:
I had the dubious honor of purchasing one of the very early P10C's on the US market. And, unfortunately, it suffered from many of the well documented problems including nearly impossible to function magazine and slide release.
Next, I entered into the RDS world for my aging eyesite. I REALLY wanted to love the G19 Gen5 MOS. The grip was terrible in my hands. Never comfortable or accurate. The Trijicon RMR came loose during a match.
Thankfully, I finally acquired an Optic Ready P10C! Used the CZ Custom RMR baseplate. The baseplate comes with the correct screws to mount the baseplate to the Optic Ready slide. The baseplate is drilled and tapped for 6/32nd RMR screws. I used the BattleWerx 6/32 MOS mounting screws, which fixed the RMR securely to the CZ Custom baseplate.
During this first week, I have shot 200 rounds with the P10C/RMR during two range trips. The experience was superb!
First, the P10C grip was much more comfortable, accurate and stable in my hands. The RMR was zeroed quickly and easily. Accuracy at both 7 and 15 yards was excellent. Just put the red dot on a spot and a hole appears in the target! Compared to the MOS, initial target acquisition and ability to stay on target for follow-up shots was vastly superior. The RMR stayed firmly affixed to the slide.
As a lefty, I had reversed the magazine release. It is smooth and easy - a gazillion percent better than the ambi release on my early model. The ambi slide release was initially stiff, but is already much easier to operate.
The trigger was initially a bit stiff and draggy. It has already smoothed out significantly.
Today's range trip was immensely satisfying. It's a keeper!
Anybody want to buy a slightly used G19 MOS?
