I was wondering, do you guys know if anybody ever made a railed compact like the CZ P-01 with anything like a 12-15rd capacity (like 14 in the P-01), but which had a slide mounted decocker?

To be clear, I'm asking about a decocker only, with no safety.

EDIT: Primarily looking at alloy frames, not steel or poly. So truly like a P01.

EDIT2: The 15rd Baby Desert Eagle III would be cool, but it looks like it has a safety and not just a decocker, and is steel instead of aluminum alloy.

Tanfoglio BTA90. I had one until a few months ago.  Produced in late 90s.

but the slide-mounted decocker was also a safety.  like a Beretta 92..

Doesn't Beretta makes a 92G decocker w/o safety. I believe the PX-4 can also be converted decocker only-NO safety.
Hmmm....I'm also wondering about some of the older S&W alloy semi's from late last century. Typically with decocker-safety, but I'm thinking there was a variant decocker only??
I get that a safety AND decocker is redundant and potentially confusing. I personally hate 'em, especially the ones where fire position is UP like Beretta's
However, I gotta ask, why the heck would anyone prefer a slide mounted decocker??? High up, you gotta break your grip to decock. Maybe if you need it sticking out to help rack the slide?? I dunno.

Yes, you are totally correct on all fronts.

The very awesome Smith 3rd Gen TSW line were decocker only.

I am in love with the 4006 TSW with the milled rail. But they only came in .40S&W. There was no milled rail version of the 6906.

Edit: having the Beretta G style decocker up on the slide gets them out of the way of your thumbs for a tight two thumbs forward grip.

Yeah, I've always wanted a S&W TSW or Chief's Special in 9mm.  Every time I go into a LGS I look in the used cases, but never seem to find. Yeah, I've seen 'em on Gone Broker, but I want to inspect and try before I buy any used gun. Don't need someone else's headache. -JMO

But folks who have the Beretta PX-4 seem to really like 'em.  I'm really happy with my CZ RAMI BD and P-01's  O0

That's a good suggestion. I should look into the PX-4.

P.S. Speaking of slide mounted decockers......I found this reference guide in my archives to the various S&W alloy frame semi-autos. Many of these were exceptionally good. And it's getting harder to find good alloy single-stack DA/SA compacts, or sub-compacts like the S&W 3913, TSW or CS9 (or SIG P239 for that matter).
https://www.luckygunner.com/lounge/guide-smith-wesson-semi-automatic-models/  And whatta ya know....a sweet little CS9 just showed up at my LGS.  O0  I think I've got a hole burning in my pocket.

EDIT2: The 15rd Baby Desert Eagle III would be cool, but it looks like it has a safety and not just a decocker, and is steel instead of aluminum alloy.

IF you can put up with the Slide mounted Safety/Decocker, the Baby Desert Eagle III's would be my choice, if you can put up with the weight.

I guess there's the Tristar T100, which kind of looks like a BDE3 but with an alloy frame. But has the frame mounted safety.

I think you were on the right track with the Beretta PX-4sc. Similar in size, weight, and capacity to P-01. According to Beretta, the Slide-mounted Decocker is available as Type G decocker only, no safety. Yeah, it's not an alloy frame, but it's a solid service duty pistol.

Its a nice gun but it is a safety. Good shooter, light gun, not real expensive either.
