New Member Polymer Experience
« on: June 20, 2019, 10:46:30 AM »
Hi.  New member here.  I am fairly new to CZ pistols.  I now proudly own a P07, Phantom and P10C.  I have CGW parts in both hammer fired guns and am please with CGW and their products.  One wish/question.  Is there a trigger replacement for the Phantom to replace the hook trigger with one more similar to the Omega system trigger?

My most recent purchase is the P10C.  My initial impressions were fairly good with exception of the trigger action and feel.  Not the weight or reset, just the feel.  It was inconsistent and creepy/gritty in feel.  I also had some frequent pulls where it would pull to the end where a release was expected and it would stop and require a tug to release the striker.

After reading about some breakage related to the MIM firing pin I purchased a tool steel firing pin.

I actually purchased the Suarez International NP3 firing pin and one of their faceshooter triggers.  I have installed them and WOW.  What a difference.  The trigger press is now always consistently the same press and the issue of pulling to the end and stopping has gone way.  That firing pin is great.  I also like the trigger face and geometry much better than the factory.  Overall very pleased with the Suarez products.

BTW the Suarez products are on close out and are priced very nicely right now.  The P10C firing pin in NP3 is 35.00 and the Faceshooter Trigger is 40.00.

Cheers
Houston

Mine, after working it a little bit, is really nice with no modifications.

Welcome to the forum! I have two of the Suarez triggers, haven't had the time to get one installed yet. I guess I will have to find a gunsmith to do that!

The stock trigger is really good after a few thousand rounds. Its nice to customize guns but unnecessary

What feels acceptable to one person isn't so nice for another person.

I totally understand the desire to make the stock striker fired pistols have better triggers and better groups.  It's tough to shoot a CZ with a nice trigger that shoots good groups and then shoot something that drags, bumps, stops, jumps, slides before releasing the striker and then shoots 4" groups at 15 yds.

Now, 4" might be totally acceptable to some people "for a defensive pistol".  That's a phrase I see/read sometimes that people use to justify the performance of what they bought/carry.  Not acceptable for me, not if I can get something (or modify something) to shoot better.

Why carry an M&P 9MM that shoots like this:

When you can carry something that shoots like this:

The M&P is doing better these days.  After buying/installing an Apex trigger kit and an Apex match barrel.  Still not up to the P07 standards but quite a bit better.

A nice trigger is...nice.  Some people can shoot an ugly triggered gun just fine, but it doesn't make the gun more accurate, more reliable or more fun to shoot.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

Welcome to the forum. Great start to a CZ collection. Your P07 will get better with time. As for the P10C sounds like you got it just the way you want it and thats what matters. Enjoy!
