How hard is the P-06 to find and what is a decent price if it is LNIB condition?

My experience is you’re more likely to happen upon the Fountain of Youth... I’m looking as well.

I found one.  just want to know what a fair price is.  If I decided to resale it, if I didn't like it, how hard would it be to move? I think i could pick it up in the $800 range

I picked one up in the Classifieds here a few months back, much less than $800

I've watched a couple on GB that went for around $800

+1.

...a little on the high side unless some work has been done. This was a few years back, but the ones I have were in the mid-$500's to mid-$600's range if I recall correctly (used and in good condition). Sometimes you can get lucky and find one (used) at your local LGS/pawn shop. OTOH, $800 is not stupid expensive.....they're quite good shooters if you're willing to go that high. If you want a CZ of a compact size and in .40 cal, might want to take a look at a NOS P-07 in .40 cal...they can be had at a very reasonable price, and are not yet 'unicorns'.

The nice thing about the P-06 though is that you can find 357SIG barrels or send it to the Custom Shop and have one set up. If I hadn’t just bought a 220 Legion 10mm, I’d seriously be looking again for a P-06, they are SCARCE in my area.

My LGS has had a like-new P06 sitting in a display case for months with a $600.00 price tag.  I'm feeling now like I should scoop it up.  ;)

If you see one for $600 in a case you should grab it. I have 3 now. 1 is full on Cajunized Pro package and is great while the other 2 I haven't touched yet. My P06 actually kicks less than my PCR with 124gr Gold Dot Plus P rounds!
I was eyeing one new a couple years ago for $630. Sold the day before I went in to buy it and it had been there for months. Then I found mine for $675 delivered " because he didn't shoot 40" and took it in on a partial trade. Traded a like new BD Police for the 3rd one and found the 2nd on armslist in Mich. for $500 but that's rare. I've bought more 40's lately because people don't want them. Funny though because a barrel swap makes them back to 9mm! If you keep at it you can find one. Friend found one for $475 and then I spotted another for $500 unfired due to different reasons. Many people either only search on a cell phone which is worthless or don't keep at it weekly or even daily and then miss them.

How is it with the barrel swap? I've thought about it, but wondered with the P-06 slide being heavier due to the extra steel. Also do they fit in a P-01 holster?

75B 40 barrels swap with SP01 9mm barrels easy because they are both .550. I don't think you could do it with a P01 and P06.
A holster that is made for a P01 will not fit. A P06 has an extra 1/16th inch on each side thickness and usually someone will try to sell you a P01 holster and say just adjust it but you can't adjust that much.  A 75 compact or pcr 9 slide goes right on a P06 also and you could have dual caliber like that too!
