[I don't like posting the same question on more than one site, but today I'm gonna do it anyway. I posted the following on another CZ forum several days ago, bumped it once, and have received zero responses. So, I'm giving up on that, and I beg pardon for this slight breech of etiquette.]
I've been competing lately (USPSA) with a fully Cajunized SP-01 with CGW EZD-40 sights installed on it. For the most part I like these sights just fine, but the fact that they hang waaaaay over the back of the slide causes a little bit of butt puckering when it's time to manually decock. If I still had the stock ring hammer on this pistol, I wouldn't even consider such a rear sight, but I have the aftermarket CGW hammer that is very angular and sticks out farther.
I'm considering getting adjustable rear sights, and so far the main contenders are the Dawsons (which I beleve were manufactured according to CGW specs):
https://dawsonprecision.com/copy-of-dawson-precision-cz-sp-01-adjustable-sight-set-black-rear-black-front/and the Zendle sights offered by CZ Custom:
https://czcustom.com/cz-parts-all/front-and-rear-sights/cz-rear-sights-all/cz-75-85-p01-rear-sights/zdl-75-adjust-rear-front-sight.htmlBoth sights have a rather shallow notch (.080 and .085 respectively) compared to the EZD sights (.140).
Does anyone have experience with either of these rear sights, or do you have any other suggestions? I'm not totally against fixed sights, but that would require going through the process of finding the right front sight height, and then doing it all again if I decided to change my load significantly.
Thanks in advance for any help!
John
