Got a Bren 805 Plan to SBR 922r
« on: August 09, 2019, 02:13:25 PM »
So got luck and picked up a bren 2 with brace for 1399 at my lgs.  I plan on SBR'ing with a ACE stock.  If I swap the tigger, disconnect, and muzzle break using only standard ar mags will I meet 922r?

Confused about what you got. Title and body of post conflict. Did you get an 805? Bren 2? Bren 2 MS?
Regardless, congratulations, all of them are dandy!

Why SBR?
Why not just use the SB805 folding brace?
I have one, and it's a fine a stock as I've ever seen.

For me the folding SB tactical brace is too long. The ACR folding stock is perfect for me with my vest. About $300 for stock and adapter plus the $200 stamp which took 20 some days well worth it to me when I carry her daily at work.

I don't think I've ever seen an official 922r parts count for the Bren. From my count, there are 17 of the 20 parts (no trunnion, op-rod, or handguard since it's integrated in the receiver)

Mags will get you down to 14. So, trigger disconnector, muzzle device, and stock gets you to the magic 10 number.

What about no barrel extension?
