Comparison of P10s to P10c
« on: September 25, 2019, 03:01:45 PM »
Are people preferring the S to the C lately?  I'm reading a lot about how accurate the S is, and have seen a couple of reviewers say they shoot it better than the C, counter to their expectations.

My daughter and I both shoot the 'C' better than the 'S', but not by much. Although I only have a few magazines through the 'S' versus 10k through the 'C'.

How does the newer 10320 striker with the OEM striker spring feel, compared to the OEM striker & spring?

Are you shooting the S with flush mag plates?  Wondering if the Hyve plates would close the gap due to essentially creating a full grip on the backstrap.

No extended mags at this time. While I have long hands/fingers (can palm a basketball), I don't have fat fingers. Both of us can get a full grip on the 'S' without our pinky fingers hanging off. It's about the perfect grip length for me, in my opinion.

Yea I can get my full hand on too, if I concentrate on trying to get as high up as possible.  However, it's really the backstrap that controls recoil more.  If it were to hit me 1/2-3/4" lower in my palm than it does, it would be perfect - so basically P10C length.  What I really want is a S upper on a C frame.  I know for sure the S upper won't work on a Gen 1 C frame though.  I tried it at my local dealer yesterday, as posted in another thread.

Maybe you guys should start a different thread to talk about the S.

Apologize.  Mods, please feel free to clean this up.

I can’t give an accuracy comparison between my S and C because the S has an RMR and the C Night Fision sights.  I shoot the RMR much better.  As for feel, I’m really liking the feel of the S.  It feels a bit more balanced than my Cs do but I have not shot the Cs in about a month, so it might just be new gun infatuation.

I shot both the S and F today, but not the C.  The S needs some Sugru and the large insert before it will be perfect for me, but I can still shoot it pretty well.  The F with the Sugru and large insert is a big pistol, but it fits me well.  The C fits well but is a little bulky for me as a carry gun.  I have been very pleasantly surprised by how much I like the S.  Glad I can finally put the Kahrs in the safe or sell them.  No desire to carry something that small any longer.

I had a chance to shoot my P10S along with my P10C yesterday.  The P10S is a great gun, but I did like the feel of the P10C better.  I would not have guessed that when shooting the P10S by itself but when shot side by side with the P10C, the P10C was just a tad nicer.  I still prefer the P10S for carry though and it will probably get shot more than my P10Cs since the RMR on the P10S makes me a better shot than I am with the irons on the P10Cs.

JMO but I think the P-10C is better balanced than the P-10S. At least that is the way it feels to me.

I have shot both, own both and like both. Honestly - the S shoots much better than I expected by a long shot - did you see the video I did, ringing the steel weak hand at 20 yards? I am no pistolero, but that seemed pretty darn good to me. I wouldn't MIND a slight pink rest on the magazine, but I don't have any issues shooting it compared to the C, as the S has just enough meat on the frame for me to get a good grip. I would have to say the only reason I would rather carry the C...is magazine capacity. :)
I have yet to try an F, BTW.
