I like a nice trigger. A really crisp, not necessarily light, trigger is wonderful. I have a couple, three CZ's with really nice SA triggers. So nice that you have to put a trigger pull gauge on them to convince yourself they really are 3 lbs. even.
But, a nice trigger, for me anyway, didn't seem to affect how I shoot an M&P I bought awhile back. The usual nasty M&P trigger and crappy groups made me feel the need to improve that pistol. I bought one of the nice/expensive Apex trigger kits for it and it is downright awesome. A nice, crisp 3 lb. trigger pull with no detectable rearward trigger movement from sear reset to bang there goes the next round. But it did not improve the groups one bit. Not a bit. I was sure that super nice feeling trigger would help. Had to buy the Apex barrel you have to fit to the slide to improve the groups.
Might be similar with the P01/P07. P01 feels better but the P07 is tighter and more consistent on barrel lockup.
