I have a bunch of 30 factory mags, I store them in my car, they're never unloaded, I've shot thousands of rounds through the gun, and I have never once experienced a feed lip crack. I'm not saying it doesn't happen. I'm merely saying that forums have a tendency to make a problem seem worse than it might be. As the saying goes, "The news doesn't report on the buildings that didn't burn down." :-)

As the saying goes, "The news doesn't report on the buildings that didn't burn down." :-)Well, this post didn’t age well. I had an issue with my Scorpion at the range the other day and did t think much of it. Tonight, I thought to myself, “I wonder if the mag was malfunctioning.” I then checked all of my 30 rounders and darn near every one of them has broken feed lips. They have worked fine for a long while and then all of a sudden they all crapped out at the same time. Odd.
Keep an eye on that tiny plastic tab on the back of the Manticore mags that hold the rear part of the feed lip down.Three of mine have broken off.
