Ugh, what to do what to do!?  I just picked up my Scorpion this week and was going to order magazines today.  Everyone has such vastly different experiences with the factory mags!!  I hate to invest in half a dozen magazines that I may have to turn around and send back to have replaced!  You would think when they came out with the new black windowed magazines they would have addressed the feed lip issue with some sort of reinforcement or metal lips......something!

My 2 Cents:

Buy a few Manticore 32 rounders and wait to see what develops.  At least that is what I did.  I do believe in owning lots of mags per gun but w/ Scorp better to wait and see.

I have a bunch of 30 factory mags, I store them in my car, they're never unloaded, I've shot thousands of rounds through the gun, and I have never once experienced a feed lip crack.

I'm not saying it doesn't happen. I'm merely saying that forums have a tendency to make a problem seem worse than it might be. As the saying goes, "The news doesn't report on the buildings that didn't burn down." :-)

Well, this post didn’t age well. I had an issue with my Scorpion at the range the other day and did t think much of it. Tonight, I thought to myself, “I wonder if the mag was malfunctioning.” I then checked all of my 30 rounders and darn near every one of them has broken feed lips. They have worked fine for a long while and then all of a sudden they all crapped out at the same time. Odd.

I just ordered 5 of the PSA mags for $15 each with free shipping. I will probably pickup a couple magpuls at some point to try. Right now I only have two factory 20 round mags.

Planned obsolescence? Your probable next opportunity to score some Manticore PSA mags cheap will be black friday. They have the metal feed lips, the only thing you have to watch out for on the PGS mags are tab that sticks forward on the top front of the mags, it might need sanding to allow it to drop free. I sanded, all drop free.

Keep an eye on that tiny plastic tab on the back of the Manticore mags that hold the rear part of the feed lip down.Three of mine have broken off.

Effect on magazine function?

Can anyone verify if the PSA AK-V mags work in the Scorpion?

https://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-ak-v-9x19mm-35-round-u9-patterned-magazine-5165448274.html

They are on Black Friday sale for $13.99 each and they have steel feedlips.  The problem is no where on the page does it mention the Scorpion.  The old mags PSA made were specifically for the Scorpion and they are out of stock

https://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-scorpion-style-magazine-assembly-9x19mm-35rd-not-for-use-in-psa-ak-v.html

Help!!
Thanks

And they now have all kinds of colors: black, clear, smoke, plum, grey, FDE, olive drab. I just looked and they are all on sale for $13.99
