P-10S at 100 yards, then P-10F for comparison
« on: November 21, 2019, 06:02:15 PM »
Another good result with the P-10S, this time at 100 yards, but in challenging conditions including a low sun that was generating some flare in the sight, and variable wind that may have affected the shots just a little.  I need a dead calm time later in the day to do any better than this.  Video will finish uploading by 4:20pm mountain time.

The blinder taped to the P-10S slide was added after a few rounds to keep the sun off the red dot.  Helped some, I think.  For comparison, I pulled out the P-10F and fired 10 rounds after I finished with the P-10S, just to see if the group was substantially smaller.  It wasn't.  Now I could have practiced a little more with the P-10F and improved on things a little, but a storm was coming and I needed to pack up and head for the house.

Still, another great day with the plastic striker guns.

This is fun.  This is not easy.

I got excited and thought you were shooting freehand to 100 yards.
Good shooting regardless, and you’re absolutely right shooting that far wears you down a little. The amount of concentration and focus. ;)

Oh, I could do it freehand at 100, I'd just need a bigger target!   :) :)

Right on, I shoot mostly indoors but when I do go to the outdoor range. I setup steel plates out to 100 yards. I’m always surprised how I could nail those plates repeatedly with a handgun. I guess there is something to be said for natural light, compared to dim lit indoor ranges.
Nothing like covering up the entire target with only your front sight.
