Brand new 75 questions
« on: January 05, 2020, 10:22:01 AM »
My first CZ was a used 75B with VZ grips and TFX sights. It had a 1000 rounds from its previous owner, so the trigger and slide was smoothed out considerably. Now I just picked up a special 75B that I don't think has been fired. There was  a yellow oil inside the gun frame and slide, and the SA trigger is fairly gritty as compared to the smoothed out trigger on my plain 75B. The safety on this pistol was far more positive than my used 75 and only engaged at the full cock hammer,  unlike my used 75B that can engage its safety at the half cock notch. Not to mention the slide stop lever was very tight to get out from this new gun.

Congrats on your new CZ!  I must have missed your questions lol, but you described very well the difference between a new gun and one well broken in and with possibly upgraded internal parts. If I was you I’d just strip it down, clean/lube well, reassemble, and put about 500 rounds of quality ammo through it.

Then determine what you are going to use it for (range, carry, home defense, competition) and determine what if anything you’d like to improve about it. Then you can choose to try and hand polish some of the internals to smooth out the action or go to Cajun Gun Works website and either select individual parts to upgrade or go with one of the full internal replacement kits.
Can either send it in to Cajun for the work, buy the parts/kit and have a local gunsmith do it, or with all the great instructions/tips/videos available, do the work yourself.  Your chance to make the gun your very own and make it do just what you want it to do.

Have fun and enjoy your new gun! :)
