I have a similar model with the flat "shotgun" butt plate and a Marbles tang mounted peep. It's taken a few Texas whitetails and a lot of feral hogs. The Buffalo Bore 300gr TSX load and their jacketed flat point are very effective. The 380gr Dangerous Game load will belt you out from under your hat.

I believe it! The stuff I was shooting had a bit of a "belt" too!

Love it!

I've shot the HDY 325gr and taken a big deer with Winchester 300gr in my Marlin 45/70 Lever.

Fun round to shoot!
