Is there a striker-fired CZ with the egos of a P-01
« on: December 13, 2019, 04:24:16 PM »
My friend loves the way my P-01 fits his hand, however he very much dislikes the DA/SA and wants a striker-fired. Is there a CZ that meets this requirement? The P-10 is not even close in the ergos.

If not a CZ what else has similar ergos and is striker-fired?

My Canik SF Elite is some what similar and is striker fired, really good trigger.
Most striker fired pistols are going to have a polymer frame so there is some or quite a bit of difference depending on how you look at it.

That's pretty tricky to answer, as all hands are build differently.
For some strange reason, The P-01 or CZ75 serie fits a lot of hands almost to fit, but other handguns, and polymer handguns in particular, will do the same to some extent.
It would be in your best interest to handle a few of them next time you go to your favorite LGS. You will certainly end up finding one that you enjoy holding more than others.
In my opinion, the CZ P10 is close to matching the ergonomics of the CZ75 serie.

The P-10 may be similar, but there is a limitation. Changing the back strap to achieve the right "feel" in hand will affect how the gun indexes. With the P-01, that fit is achieved by changing grip panels which doesn't affect how the gun points.

I’m probably the only one who has this sentiment, but the CZ 100, CZ’s original modern day striker handgun, is closer to the usual CZ grip egos than the P-10, but much slimmer than the P-01, even with thin G10 grip panels.

Pic of mine which I love, modded by CZ Custom with night sights beside my P-10 C:

I'll second the Canik. The P-01 and PCR both feel like they were custom made for my hand and the Canik has nearly the same feel.

Thanks, now I have to find a LGS that carries them and haul him there to see if he likes it.

I dont think there is any striker gun with the ergos of the 75. However, when it comes to striker guns, which I have gotten away from mostly, I go with the M&P M2.0. They have the 4 inch compact, 3.6 inch compact and now the sub-compact.
