How do you like the pistol?

How does it compare to the P-09?

2010 CZ 75B 9mm
2012 Czechpoint VZ-58 7.62x39mm
2015 CZ 527 Carbine .223
2015 CZ P-09 9mm
2017 CZ P-07 9mm

Out of the box I like the P09 better. Once I tuned up the Phantom and added a grip sleeve.  It was range toy king.

A big plus is the Phantom uses all my 75B pattern mags.

Adding an edit on 1-20-20. Saw another post about mag compatibility and remember I did have an issue with the new style MecGar 19 rnd mags with the plastic +2 bases. Could just be my Gen 1 or my particular gun.

I got to shoot one finally not long ago.

It's better than a P-09 in every way IMO. And that's really saying something for me, because prior to shooting the Phantom I was convinced that the P-09 was absolutely the best shooting full size polymer pistol on the market.

I feel like Phantoms are a serious sleeper pistol that the vast majority of CZ guys are overlooking - and missing out on!

Phantoms are aptly named......they don’t get a lot of attention with so many other more hyped CZ’s but I can’t agree more with Raining_Brass on his take.....my favorite CZ, hands-down!  :)

I have both in my collection.

The P-09 was the first and I have used it the longest.  It is my go-to home defense gun.

The Phantom was designed for combat and some years ago was rated the best combat sidearm by a military magazine.  I find it to be more durable and rugged without too much weight for carry.

I have not done any upgrades on either of them as I haven't found that to be necessary.

This mag compatibility is the main reason why I'd want to get a phantom over a P-07 or P-09. Mecgar mags for the CZ-75 are fairly affordable and it is nice to have a mag type that can go into two similar guns.

Yep, that was a big reason that I bought the Phantom instead of a P-07 or P-09. All my CZs can use the same magazines (well except that the P-01 mags are too short for the 75Bs).  8)

Loved my P-09.  Best shooter I ever had.

Got a Phantom a couple months back.  Unbelievable.  Most accurate 9mm I have ever shot.  Fast, reliable,
a true joy to shoot.  Will start competition with this next summer.

Only reason I changed was the magazines were compatible with my 75b.
