P01 Omega question
« on: January 15, 2020, 02:06:09 PM »
just started watching reviews of this pistol. can this be purchased with a decocker instead of safety? any reviews from owners here would be great as well

They come standard with a decocker installed, which can be swapped out for a safety.

You have decocker and safety available with the pistol. I believe decocker is installed as default.
Switching between is super easy.

that's good to know[decocker fan] hows the trigger compared to a stock P01? although not tritium, I like the stock sights better than the P01 or PCR

Switching from safety to decocker is a little less "super easy" than switching to safety because of spring difficulties.

1. trigger is great (however I've read a lot that regular is better). I hate "C" shape one. Maybe my Omega's trigger is great because I lower hammer spring weight and changed DA roller?
2. no tritium by default, but Meprolite ML-17775 works perfect after replacement  8)
3. stock sight (especially rear is much better than P-01 or PCR)

I would say no differences ... just need to know the "trick" 8)

I prefer the Omega trigger design and OOTB pull was  noticeably better than my original PCR.  That said, I had both cajunized and am really pleased with CGW’s work.

Part of it is the trigger shape and the Omega lockwork IMO. However, as has been stated before - each individual gun may vary enough that the opposite is true.

If I could only have 1 CZ compact, it would be the P01 Omega.

I agree with Tanners Owner. I also have a Cajunized P-01 Omega. As CGW states on their website, this is truly a "world class" handgun.

I picked up a P01 yesterday. Great looking gun and it comes with the decocker installed. The double action trigger pull isn’t great, single action OK but with the usual slack in a DA/SA pistol. Switching to the manual safety isn’t a big deal.
