New Rami BD
« on: November 03, 2019, 12:53:20 AM »
I bought a brand new Rami BD from CZ Custom yesterday.  It was one that they had done work on (https://czcustom.com/cz-rami-2075-bd-custom.html).  The DA and SA pulls are excellent.  Stripped it, cleaned it, lubricated it, and shot it with 115 grain FMJ standard ammo.  Functions flawlessly, including both the 10 round and the 14 round magazines.  I could ring an 8" steel target at 100 yards about 20% of the time (which is to say, occasionally).  Sights are tritrium and I have no complaints as they do show up in the dark reasonably well.

I put about a hundred rounds through it and like it a lot.  I'll put another 100 rounds through it and then see how it does with defensive ammunition.  If all is okay, it will be my carry piece going forward -- or at least in the rotation.  Thank you to the folks at CZ Custom -- nice pistol!

Congrats on your new BD. I think the Rami is one of those guns that is far better than the sum of its parts. I traded for one because it was just too cheap to pass up, but. . . One trip to the range and I was convinced, it's now my EDC.

Congrats on your rami. I have one with the safety and the bd with the decocker. Both are great but I have a issue with the grips. Screws are tight and upper part of the grips move. Did you notice that with yours?

Have you checked that the grip screw bushings are correctly located as far as depth is concerned? I had to adjust my bushings once when replacing the grips.

Congrats on the new RAMI- great little pistols.  Accurate, reliable.  Clean it, oil it, and shoot it.

Yes, check the bushings. The Rami BD I used to have had a stripped out bushing. The screw would never stop turning, so I could not get the grip off on that side.
