I'd like to load some Frangible ammo for the AR to shoot at steel at closer ranges w/o damaging the steel.

What bullet have you tried, did you like it, where did you get it?

Not concerned with pinpoint accuracy for long range, just want it for closer range practice - about 40-50 yards.

Thanks!

If it goes "boom" or "vroom" I'm intersted.

I have some NOVX 9mm, and I know they are coming out with 223 in the future sometime, not sure if it is "range friendly", even though it is frangible it is over 4000fps

Thanks,  Where did you buy the bullet from - I'm only seeing loaded ammo.

They are OOS, but you can chase that name on AmmoSeek.Com

Thanks.  I'll have to call and see if they sell just the bullet so I can load my own.   I've found frangible but the cost is too high - just like other ammo - cheaper to "roll your own".

I have seen frangible "pulls" and "seconds" on RMR in the past, but they don't have any right now.

  • I've shot the rest, I now own the best - CZ
Never used them, can't say much about them other than the ad says you can get the reloading data from the company web site.

Don't know if 13 cents per bullet is a good, or bad, price.

I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?
