Compact recoil springs
« on: January 20, 2020, 12:28:44 PM »
So, I have read on here about people using single recoil springs in the early dual recoil spring Compact guns. People have recommended Cajun for a source of those springs. When I first contacted them they said it must be some sort of after market system because to their knowledge CZ never used such a set up in the 75 Compacts. When I pointed out that I bought the gun brand new and it is dated 1992, they said contact CZUSA. Now, I already know the answer from CZUSA, so what source for single recoil springs, and what # springs are you people using? Thanks for your help.

hmm.. I've never heard about dual recoil springs in CZ75 Compact firearms...
Anyway, If you are going to use regular factory single spring with great guide rod:

For something advanced - DPM:

However I haven't seen anything special using DPM in CZ75 Compact size

I bought and installed a 14# recoil spring from Wolff, and it works great in my 75 Compact. When it wears out, I intend to try the DPM multi spring set-up.

Could you please measure and post the length of Wolff #14 spring? I'm trying to find a flat one, but I think I will have to adopt it from other firearm.
Gracias!

But my guess is they are wire, not flat?

Why not take a look.  One certainly looks like the flat #16 spring, while the other looks like the CGW round spring.

#16 flat is what I'm using now (as factory) and it has 33K remaining rounds before replacement  ;D
I'm looking for flat #14.
Thx anyway.
