I think all the Omegas have the little plastic tab/detent held against the left side safety shaft by the spring.

Got six of them, haven't had an issue with that piece of plastic so far.  Did buy an extra or two when I lost one off the first P09 while working on it one day.  Haven't lost one since.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

I've used both on my P-01 Omega. Safety was first (pistol came with it as factory installed). During my first full disassembly I lost safety lever spring and started using decocker.
No issues found with it. Worked great. After few weeks I installed safety back on because I felt better with it. It's not the best safety lever I've been using but works fine.

Well crap. I just dropped money on a new suppressor ready P01, it will be in  this week. I hadn't heard anything on these since the 2017 models, I assumed it was cured. I even made sure I was getting a 2019. Here's hoping I am lucky.

I picked up my new P01 Omega today. I lubed it, put 100 rds. of factory ammo (FMJ) through it.

First, the decocker didn't fail. Of the 100 rds., 3/4 of them were double action, as in decocking after  each round. Maybe I am unjustly paranoid about this, but it is a concern for me.

Second, I had several failures to feed, but on all but one simply bumping the rear of the slide with the heel of my hand chambered the round. I'll chalk this up to a break-in period, and see how it goes in the long run.

Upon reading the manual, it gives no instructions on reversing the mag release, beyond that it has to be done by a gun smith. I've read on here about members doing this, can anyone help me with the procedure?

The gun shot fine, accuracy wise, just maybe an inch to the right for me. I didn't have time at the range for adjustments, so that will be left for the next trip. The D/A pull is heavy, compared to the S/A, but that is how the weapon is designed, so to complain about that is a sign I bought the wrong gun. I have shot enough CZ 75 based guns, S&W third generations, Sigs, and Beretta M9's to know that is the nature of the design. Besides, I don't find it to be any hindrance to accurately shooting a handgun.

If the reliability issues straighten up, this may become a carry weapon. It feels like my 1992 Compact, which is what I expected, and the tall suppressor sights are a lot better for my aging eyes.

CROWS,
You won't find manual or instruction anywhere...  :o and you can reverse button by yourself, no gunsmith needed.
Look on Youtube for "CZ P-09 How-To switch ambi magazine release" - this is exactly how you have to do this. P-09 has the same mag release mechanism as P-01 Omega. It took me about 10 minutes to figure out how to play with the pin, but once I had it out rest was piece of cake  8)

I have a 2019 P01 Omega. After discovering this issue, I have tried to reproduce it. And I did have the decocker to pop out. Of course, I freaked out. HOWEVER, after close inspection of the decocker lever, I found out that this little piece that holds the decocker spring (don't know if it has a proper name) was slightly offset as it was not snug all the way down. After making sure that there was no gap of any sort, I was not able to reproduce that issue. I think it comes from me taking it apart multiple times, so at some point that little captive thing went to the side a little bit. I don't know if that's the issue with 2017 models, but I'm curious if that would help.
